Germany: Snow Dome Bispingen Ceases Operations
Bispingen, Germany’s Snow Dome (Lower Saxony), opened in 2006, will be shut down by the end of the month. The reasons given for the shutdown are urgently required renovation works. While the staff of the indoor ski slope had been informed about the closing and their associated notices by the end of February, first discussions were held about the creation of a cost evaluation for the renovation of the facility between the management and the operator of the facility as well as political representatives. In a next step the required scale and costs for the renovation measures will be examined. (eap)
