Germany: SEA LIFE Speyer to Built New Outdoor Area for Turtles

Rhineland-Palatinate’s SEA LIFE Speyer, operated by Merlin Entertainments, started construction of its new outdoor area dedicated for the European pond turtles of the aquarium. More than 150 European pond turtles are currently at home at SEA LIFE Speyer. Unfortunately, due to lack of space, some of them are housed in a pool behind the scenes where visitors cannot see them. That’s the reason for why now a new outdoor habitat is being created. The 200-square foot area is expected to open in April this year. (eap)
