British Architect Terry Farrells to Design Masterplan for London Paramount Resort
The new theme park resort project “London Paramount” (cp. EAP news from January 29, March 14 & March 19, 2015) is steadily taking shape. As announced recently, British architect Terry Farrells, who is well-known for the design of the MI6 building in London, has been appointed to design the masterplan for the London Paramount project, with focus on the site’s integration with surrounding new and existing communities. In addition to this, new images and plans for different theme zones of the resort have been published. With “Adventure Island”, “Land of Legends”, “Cartoon Circus”, “Starfleet Command”, “Action Square”, “Port Paramount” and “Entertainment City” the resort would get a total of seven theme areas. Apart from the actual entertainment resort, the masterplan also provides for 20,000 square meters of indoor event space for conferences and live events, Europe’s largest indoor water park, a range of hotels, a creative industry hub including studio space as well as a staff training academy. Until 5 June 2015 local residents, businesses and key stakeholders still have the chance to give their say about the project before a development consent order application will be submitted later this year.
