Germany: AquaMagis to Open a World’s First This Summer
At the beginning of the summer holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia, the wellness and waterpark complex AquaMagis in Plettenberg will surprise its guests with a world’s first. Two so-called “standing slides” will be opened in only a few weeks. Instead of sitting down, lying down or using a tube, guests will literally stand while using the slide. Both attractions will offer two different sliding courses. A simpler version for beginners, the lush green “SauerlandSURFER” will be more than 30 meters in length, while the “CrazySURFER” will be the pro version with more than 100 meters of length and a steeper and more twisting track. Both slides will be supplied by the Swiss manufacturer Klarer, who included slide fans and other professionals in the planning process of the new slide type.
