USA: S&S Worldwide Builds Drop Tower for motiongate™ Dubai

Following the announcement of a ”Hunger Games” themed area at motiongate™ Dubai in April earlier this year (cf. EAP News from April 7, 2015), the Hollywood-inspired theme park and the US ride manufacturer S&S Worldwide recently announced their plans for a further attraction. A 16-seat Drop Tower promises to bring visitors an exciting experience. “We are thrilled to be working on such a unique project. The amusement and entertainment industry is growing rapidly in Dubai, and we are pleased to be associated with this progress. Our Drop Tower ride will provide guests with spectacular views of this massive development and do so in a very thrilling fashion. […] We believe that this Drop Tower will be a highlight of motiongate™ Dubai and will continue the tradition of quality and safety for S&S,” Tim Timco, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for S&S, says. The 4-million square feet (around 372,000 square meters) motiongate™ Dubai will be part of Dubai Parks and Resorts PJSC, which is expected to open in October next year. The leisure complex located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi will, amongst others, include two further theme parks, a hotel and a waterpark. (eap)
