USA: Apex Parks Group Acquires Further Family Destinations
In 2014, US-based Apex Parks Group was founded when acquiring 14 Family Entertainment Centers (FEC) situated in several US states and the Big Kahuna’s water park in Florida (cf. EAP, issue 6/2014). This past April, the company expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Sahara Sam’s Oasis Indoor and Outdoor Water Park located in New Jersey. The park includes a wide range of water park features, arcade games and dining options. A few days ago, the company announced that with the takeover of Indiana Beach Amusement Resort the second significant addition to Apex has been made this year. Founded in 1926 in Monticello, Indiana the family vacation destination will celebrate its 90th anniversary next year. It offers its guests, amongst others, several roller coasters and rides, zip lines, a water park and miniature golf. “Indiana Beach is a fabulous addition for us. We are pleased to work with the park team and local community to grow this jewel of a resort in mid-state Indiana. We look forward to building upon the 90-year heritage of this park and providing families with a life time of great memories,” Apex Parks Group CEO, Al Weber, Jr. explains. (eap)
