Germany: Alpsee Skytrail Opens Today
Alpsee Immenstadt Tourism opens today the Alpsee Skytrail high rope course in a natural area close to the German city of Immenstadt with its two parcours Sky Trail® and Sky Tykes®. The eight column Sky Trail® offers visitors the opportunity to try out their surefootedness and perseverance on three different levels and up to nearly 15 meters. Elements such as a vertical rope ladder, a cargo net or a crisscross walk train the participant’s physical balance. Sky Tykes® offers the same to children with six and no less adventurous columns – but with its elements less than one meter from the ground. Up from 1.20 meters the younger ones can also try the Sky Trail® parcours accompanied by an adult.
A special feature of the rope courses is that their overhead track design allows participants to move freely from element to element and between levels without unclipping their safety harness and redundant sling lines. Sky Trail® and Sky Tykes® have been supplied by the German company Faszinatour, the European distribution partner of the US-based manufacturer Ropes Courses Inc. “Immenstadt will benefit from the Sky Trail® and Sky Tykes® destination appeal. These attractions draw in families with kids 2-18 years of age and large group tours,” said Faszinatour Project Manager Thomas Kracker.
The Alpsee Skytrail is the first element of 13 planned stations to form a new educational trail featuring the topic “correct behavior in the mountains”. “Alpsee Skytrail is the first and largest station for beginners to realize their self-confidence and find perseverance they’ll need for their adventure quests. It allows you to explore your surefootedness and vertigo before you take on Great Alpsee,” said Alfred Becker, CEO of Alpsee Immenstadt Tourism. (eap)
