Canada/Thailand: WhiteWater West and Vana Nava Company Establish Joint Venture
WhiteWater West Industries Ltd. (WWI), a Canadian manufacturer of water attractions, and the Thai Vana Nava Company Ltd. recently established the new joint venture company WhiteWater West Southeast Asia Co. Ltd. (WW SEA) to offer a fully integrated approach to design, building and operation of future water parks across the region.
According to the Canadian company, the new business is the first joint venture of its kind in the international waterpark industry. “This new venture represents another chapter in our mission to stay at the forefront of innovation and provide the industry with not only top quality products, but also turnkey solutions, professional expertise and a suite of services geared toward the success of our client’s business initiatives,” said Paul Chutter, Chief Business Development Officer of WWI. Proudputh Liptapanlop, Executive Director of Vana Nava Company Ltd. and parent company Proud Real Estate, added: “We aim to create dynamic mixed use leisure destinations and unique family entertainment projects that will both delight and enrich lives of people of all ages, and contribute to local communities across ASEAN.”
Waterpark industry veteran, Chris Perry, who was Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships with WhiteWater West Industries Ltd. and former General Manager of Wild Wadi Waterpark in Dubai, has been appointed CEO of the newly formed WhiteWater West Southeast Asia Co. Ltd. and will take on responsibility for the overall strategic direction of the group, developing the brand and expanding its footprint throughout Southeast Asia. (eap)
