Netherlands: Efteling’s New Palace Reaches Its Highest Point
Construction works of Efteling’s new “Symbolica” dark ride are currently underway. The attraction, which is going to be inaugurated in due time for the park’s 65th anniversary in 2017, is based on a steel construction with a weight of 300,000 kilograms. Eight towers will cover the nine meter high roof, of which the highest one measures 20.8 meters. Recently, the tower’s spire was unveiled as Symbolica’s highest point with 29.8 meters.
The new family attraction will be Efteling’s largest dark ride attraction so far with an investment volume of 35 million Euros (c.f. EAP news from January 12th, 2016). (eap)
