Belgium: Bellewaerde to Surprise Guests with European Premiere in 2017

Located in Ypres, Belgium, Bellewaerde will begin construction works of a new major attraction this fall: the first Duelling Alpine Coaster in Europe. The attraction, which will consist of two parallel tracks providing guests with an exciting race against each other, will not be built at a natural hillside but instead start between the tree tops at an impressive tower of 25 meters high. But before visitors reach the starting point of the attraction, they have to walk to a unique bridge that enables them to have a beautiful view over the park.

„This unique attraction is custom-made for the families as a target group. Only the combination with our motivated, friendly and helpful employees makes it possible to complete the mission of Bellewaerde: offering fun and adventure in a natural setting where family and friends experience authentic and indulging moments together“, said Stefaan Lemey, Director of Bellewaerde. The park, which is part of Compagnie des Alpes group, has invested a total of four million Euros in the development and construction of the new attraction. (eap)
