Barcelona/Spain: EAS 2016 a Great Success
Following this year’s Euro Attractions Show (EAS), which was held from September 20th until September 22nd at Fira Gran Via Convention Center in Barcelona, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) already announced first figures of the trade show’s success. A total of 12,600 registrations has been recorded during the three trade show days, of which 8,700 were so-called “qualified buyers”, who came to learn more about the latest trends and developments in the amusement industry.
During the show the IAAPA Board of Directors approved the plans to relocate its global headquarters office to Orlando, Florida in 2017. Furthermore, it was announced that the annual conference and trade show, IAAPA Attractions Expo, will be held at Orange County Convention Center at least until 2030. With LEGOLAND Florida, SeaWorld Orlando, Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World, Orlando is the “capital city” of the international amusement industry.
