UAE: Dubai Opera House Now Open For Visitors
After almost three and a half years of construction, the Dubai Opera House opened in Dubai’s Opera District this summer as a modern venue for classical opera performances, theater, concerts and events.
The property, which is owned by the real estate company Emaar Properties, is equipped with movable floors, walls and ceilings so that the available space can be adapted to its purpose of use. In addition to four basements and the ground floor, three further floors have been built. Furthermore, the building’s exterior façade is made of glass, which underlines the state-of-the-art architecture. A 360 degree lobby is accessible from all sides and the hall offers seats for 2,000 guests. The British design office Atkins was responsible for the architectural design. (eap)
