The Netherlands: Season Kick-Off in Sevenum – Toverland Invests in Upgrades
On March 25th, 2017, Toverland opened its doors to start into the new season. In 2016 – the year in which Toverland celebrated its 15th anniversary – the Dutch amusement park welcomed just under 683,000 guests. Although this means a slight decrease in attendance figures, the park has not been deterred. Already in the winter season, the restaurant located in the “Magic Forest” indoor area has been turned into a themed gastronomy offer in style of an Austrian village. The new “forest lounge” (G.: “Waldstube”) restaurant now offers guests delicious ice cream creations, cakes, pizza, pasta, fries and burgers. “Toos Tovershow” is the name of the new stage show which is being performed daily at Magic Forest. Furthermore, this year’s entertainment program will again include the popular midsummer nights, Halloween events and the “Magical Winter Weeks”.
Talking about future projects: As Toverland confirmed to EAP, the park will inaugurate a new theme area in 2018, featuring a special kind of rollercoaster as main attraction. Further details have not been revealed by the park to date. (eap)
