Germany: Season Kick-Off at Holiday Park & Start of Construction Works for 2023‘s Novelties
At Germany‘s Holiday Park, 3 April marks not only the start of the 2022 summer season, but also the beginning of construction works for a new water attraction, which is scheduled to open in spring 2023. A water playground with water slides and interactive play elements will be constructed in the immediate vicinity of the “The Beach“ area, similar to the one that opened last year in Majaland Kownaty (cf. EAP 4/21). A new plot of land of 2,500 square metres is being been developed for the new water play area.
“After the opening of the new Wickieland last year, we focused mainly on infrastructural investments and on preparations for the construction work for the next few years during the winter months,“ explains Bernd Beitz, Director Germany of the Plopsa Group. In the coming years, around 65 million euros are planned to be invested in the German Plopsa destination, the development plans for which include a hotel with 350 beds, its own indoor water park and the new Tomorrowland theme area.
This season, Holiday Park visitors can look forward to the new “Magic Bubble Nights“ event series and the new Paw Patrol show, among others. (eap)
