Germany: Freizeit-Land Geiselwind Presents New Theme Area Featuring Two New Attractions
Germany’s amusement park Freizeit-Land Geiselwind, located in Bavaria between Nuremberg and Würzburg, which is scheduled to reopen its gates in early July, gives a little foretaste of its novelties of the upcoming season. After “Dragon Bay” and Tuki’s Crazy Farm” (cf. EAP 5/20), guests can expect the third new theme area, “Forbidden Kingdoms”, which will include two new attractions.
In the mystical area, visitors will be able to get themselves catapulted up to 80 meters into the air on “Merlin and the Magic Circle” – a Slingshot attraction from Austrian manufacturer Funtime – in what the park claims to be one of the highest overhead rides in Germany. Adventurers can explore the “Secret Tomb of Ramses” attraction, which is a mad house. Afterwards, guests can relax with a cup of coffee or a snack at the new “Kukumaz” themed restaurant.
Also brand-new: In the future, guests will also be able to round off the day at Freizeit-Land Geiselwind, because this year will see the opening of the park’s very own “Seaside” overnight and adventure resort, which will feature themed bungalows for accommodation. (eap)
