Germany: New “NINJAGO Quartier” at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort Now Open for Overnight Guests
Since this past Whitsun weekend, multi-day guests to LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort can now also stay overnight in Ninja style: In addition to the “Ninjago World” theme area that opened at the park in 2017, which is very popular with both young and adult park visitors, the “Ninjago Quartier” was built in the Legoland Holiday Village as a new overnight accommodation offering 72 family rooms. A total of four buildings, each with two floors (which, by the way, meet the “KfW40 Plus” building standard for energy-saving operations), have been erected in the holiday village. The rooms, each 27 square metres in size, have a parents’ bedroom, a separate children’s room and a bathroom. A private balcony or terrace invites to a relaxing end of the day, which can also be spent on the associated Ninja climbing playground. In the course of the opening of the new accommodations, the Ninjago family in Legoland Deutschland has grown by another character: “Master Wu” will guide the Legoland Ninjas in the future and be available for souvenir photos with visitors in the park.
“Our LEGOLAND holiday village and also our hotel partners are very busy and already next year a completely new themed area awaits the guests. Therefore, the expansion of the accommodation offer was an important step for us,” explained Legoland Managing Director Manuela Stone and added: “[...] I am delighted that with today’s opening we can now count a unique theming among our accommodations, which is insanely popular and is sure to make countless children’s hearts beat faster.”
In addition to the new Ninjago Quartier, which increases bed capacity by nine per cent to a total now of 2,836 overnight guests, Legoland Deutschland Resort’s accommodation options also include three castles, the Pirate Island Hotel, which opened in 2018, and camping barrels. The new character “Master Wu”, who made his debut at the opening of the Ninjago Quartier, will have his own float in the Legoland Parade from the end of June, which the park is staging on weekends, public holidays and during school vacations as part of its 20th anniversary season this year.
