USA: Hal McEvoy Joins IAAPA as Chief Financial Officer
Recently, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced that attractions industry veteran Hal McEvoy assumes the responsibility as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer, being the lead strategic advisor on all issues that have financial impact on IAAPA’s global mission and member service offerings. In 1975, Mc Evoy startet his career as part-time accounting clerk at Busch Gardens Tampa (Florida). One year later, he graduated from the University of South Florida and worked his way up through the company to become Vice President of Finance at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. In December 2012, Hal relocated to Orlando/Florida, when he was promoted to Corporate Vice President of Internal Audit and Compliance, the position he held prior to joining IAAPA.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hal to IAAPA’s executive team and look forward to the wealth of knowledge, financial acumen and strategic insight he brings to the association,” said IAAPA President and CEO, Paul Noland. McEvoy is looking forward to his new responsibilities: “I’m honored and excited to join IAAPA and work with such a dedicated staff and board of directors. I look forward to supporting the association’s continued commitment to serving the international attractions industry and its long-term growth strategy,” he said. McEvoy has been an active IAAPA volunteer as a member of the IAAPA Audit Committee since 2005 and chair of the committee since 2013. (eap)
