USA: Six Flags Group Adds Five More Parks to its US Portfolio
This week, Grand Prairie/Texas-based Six Flags Entertainment operating group announced to take over the management of five US theme and water parks owned by EPR Properties and currently operated by Premier Parks, LLC. All five parks are located in the US and will expand the group’s portfolio to a total of 25 leisure facilities in North America.
The parks joining the “Six Flags family” are Wet n’Wild Splashtown in Houston/Texas and Wet n’Wild Phoenix in Arizona, the over 400 hectare (1,000 acres) large Darien Lake leisure resort located close to Buffalo/New York, Oklahoma’s Frontier City theme park, and tropical themed White Water Bay water park, also located in Oklahoma. Together, these parks have welcomed around two million visitors in 2017.
Closing of the transactions contemplated by the arrangement is expected to occur this June. (eap)
