Canada: Canada´s Wonderland Announces New Dive Coaster for 2019
As the near Toronto located amusement park Canada´s Wonderland recently announced, the new theme area “Frontier Canada” will be expanded with the overall 17th rollercoaster in the park in 2019. The new Dive Coaster “Yukon Striker” from Bolliger & Mabillard will, according to the park, break three world records. With a drop from 245 feet (75 meters) into an underwater tunnel with a speed of 80 miles per hour (130 kilometers per hour) and a length of 3,625 feet (1,105 meters) the new coaster will thrill visitors. The three trains, each with a total of 24 seats in three rows, are floorless and go through four inversions during the over three-minute long ride.
Additionally, the park announced the “WinterFest” for 2019, which will offer an immersive experience to visitors in November and December next year. (eap)
