GB: Immotion Group Announces Roll Out of Further Virtual Reality Centers at Shopping Malls
Founded in 2017 by Martin Higginson and David Marks, British Immotion Group – a start-up company specialized on Virtual Reality (VR) applications for out-of-home entertainment, has recently announced to open further VR gaming centers branded ImmotionVR to expand the customer offer of some of the shopping centres of London-based intu Properties. Following the recent addition of an ImmotionVR centre at intu St. Davids in Cardiff, further locations to feature this entertainment offering are the intu centres in Derby, Newcastle and Uxbridge. The Cardiff location is also set to open several racing car simulators provided by Immotion VR.
Customers will be able to enjoy a broad range of experiences including the new “Delta Zero” game, which was launched in August this year, featuring a space theme. Further experiences are due to launch later this year, including seasonal themed contents for both Halloween and Christmas.
“We are incredibly excited to be working with intu to expand our portfolio of ImmotionVR outlets across its impressive portfolio of some of the UK’s most popular shopping locations. Riding on the success of our existing VR centres, this roll out will positively impact our revenues. We look forward to bringing more high quality VR experience centres to more consumers across the UK, many of whom are trying VR for the first time, in the coming months,” said Martin Higginson, CEO of Immotion Group.
Roger Binks, Customer Experience Director at intu, added: “Virtual Reality has such exciting potential within our portfolio of the some of the UK’s most popular shopping destinations where it could one day become as commonplace as stopping for a coffee with friends. Intu centres are focused on creating these kinds of compelling experiences for our customers to enjoy and we’re excited to provide yet another new brand with a fantastic opportunity to flourish across the UK,” commented Binks.
With the opening of the new ImmotionVR centres, Immotion group will own and operate a total of seven locations, in addition to further facilities operated by concession partners. (eap)
