Germany: Tripsdrill Erlebnispark Reveals Plans for Two New Coasters Coming in 2020

Germany’s Tripsdrill Erlebnispark, which is operated by the Fischer family and is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year (EAP issue 5/2019), just confirmed the rumors about two new rollercoasters opening in 2020. A new family coaster type “Family Boomerang“ will provide family fun on a track length of 500 meters and a top speed of up to 60 km/h. The coaster, which will measure 22 meters at its highest point, will run forwards and backwards.

Another adrenalin experience will be provided by the 800 metre long and 30 metre high “Suspended Thrill Coaster“. This second new attraction for Tripsdrill will be the first installed coaster of this type worldwide by Dutch ride manufacturer Vekoma, who will also supply the Family Boomerang. Numerous inversions, airtime moments, four loopings and a top speed of 80 km/h will provide thrill enthusiasts with a great ride experience. The new attractions will be Swabian themed – more details about the new coaster storylines will be revealed this winter. (eap)
