Germany: Miniatur Wunderland and MackNeXT Team Up for Joint Project
When creative minds come together, innovative ideas usually emerge. When they are also very successful family business owners whose gift for constantly reinventing themselves is part of their DNA, a joint project also promises to become a great success. We’re talking about Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany, which welcomes over 1.4 million visitors p.a., and MackNeXT, the technology company founded by Michael Mack, a subsidiary of the Mack International group. Together, the two companies are currently working on the development of a virtual reality experience, which is scheduled to emerge in a separate storage floor below the new Miniatur Wunderland areas (cf. EAP 5/2019 on the expansion plans of the brothers Frederik and Gerrit Braun) by the end of the year.
“We want to use the latest technology to lift the boundaries of the laws of nature and create experiences with fantastic creatures and otherworldly perspectives. The playground is gigantic and we have a wonderful playmate by our side with Miniatur Wunderland,” explains Michael Mack, Managing Partner of Europa-Park and founder of MackNeXT. The entrepreneurs also see the joint project as an opportunity during the crisis: “Looking back, the pandemic was probably also an opportunity. Without it, we both probably wouldn’t have had the time for this extremely creative and inspiring exchange,” concludes Frederik Braun (pictured here) and is joined by Michael Mack: “I’m very excited for the future together and am quite sure that quality and attention to detail will always be rewarded.” For further details about the project, dear readers, check out our EAP news in the coming months.
