Netherlands: Green Light Given for Land Utilization Plan “World of Efteling 2030“

As the Dutch fairytale-dedicated theme park Efteling just announced, the park‘s “Wereld van de Efteling 2030“ (Engl: “World of Efteling 2030“) land utilisation plan received green light from The Netherlands state council, who rejected objections as unfounded. “In 2015, we made the first sketches for the land utilisation plan ‘Wereld van de Efteling 2030‘ together with the municipality of Loon op Zand. Since then many and careful consultations with residents, the municipality and nature conservation organisations have taken place. The fact that the plan is now finally approved makes me feel very proud. For us, this is a huge step towards the further development we have in mind for the world of Efteling,“ says Fons Jurgens, Chairman and CEO of Efteling. Next year, construction works will begin for the expansion at the east side of the current park grounds. (eap)
