“Dinoborn”: Experience Prehistoric Giants in Paderborn
(eap) To mark its 40th anniversary, the advertising association of the city of Paderborn (North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany) is taking citizens and visitors on a journey far back into the past. Various prehistoric giants can be discovered at five different locations in the city. From the 30-metre-long “Tyrannosaurus Rex cub” in the city centre to the flying dinosaur “Pterodactylus” at Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport, residents of Paderborn and dinosaur fans from out of town can marvel at a total of 34 dinosaur models spread across the city. The true-to-original figures were supplied by the company Dinosaurier-Park International, which is renting out the dinosaur models to the city for their current marketing activities. To coincide with the city-wide exhibition, local restaurants and stores in Paderborn are offering special dinosaur promotions such as themed food and drinks or dinosaur craft activities. The prehistoric giants will be making their guest appearance in the university city through October 20, this year. ■
