“Hyperia”: Britain's Highest & Fastest Rollercoaster at Thorpe Park

Photo: Courtesy of Mack Rides (eap) After the official launch of “Hyperia” – the new hyper coaster at Thorpe Park in England – was celebrated last night, the roller coaster can now be experienced by all guests. With a height of 236 feet (over 70 meters) and a maximum speed of up to 81 mph (around 130 km/h), the new Mack Rides coaster is now the highest and fastest roller coaster in the UK. Thematically inspired by the god’s daughter “Hyperia” from Greek mythology, passengers are supposed to feel weightless, fearless and invincible. The roller coaster can be found in the new “Big Easy Boulevard” themed area. In addition, there are new Hyperia themed rooms in the Thorpe Shark Cabins to match the coaster.
