“TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure” Premieres at Disneyland Paris
(eap) After Disneyland Paris welcomed some international celebrities to the press premiere of “TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure” last weekend, the new Pixar musical will make its official stage debut tomorrow, July 15, 2023. The show, created especially for the French Disney theme park, takes visitors on a journey into the worlds of “Toy Story”, “Coco”, “Up”, “Monsters, Inc.” and “Finding Nemo”. Five times a day, Walt Disney Studios Park guests can attend the show, which is performed by more than 30 artists dressed up as Pixar characters on stage. A mix of music from a live orchestra consisting of eight musicians as well as a soundtrack recorded with 54 artists at Nashville Studios will enchant guests. With mobile decorative elements 6.2 meters high and 30 meters wide as well as 453-square-meter LED screens stretching from floor to ceiling, the 650-square-meter musical stage is said to be the most immersive ever seen at a show at Disneyland Paris.

Together with the French costume company Bas et Hauts, the park’s costume designers created more than 120 dazzling outfits for the show’s cast. Local firm Plastic Studios was responsible for the set design and props. For the first time, Disneyland Paris collaborated with Freckled Sky to develop an artistic mixed reality video.
“TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure has been imagined as a multi-layered sensory experience, stimulating guests’ senses through live music, visual technologies, water effects, scents and more, blurring the line between fantasy and reality,” explain the park’s show directors.
And what is the storyline? “Charlie, a child who is passionate about music, dreams of conducting the orchestra for their school’s end-of-year gala. But something unexpected happens and Charlie loses the precious sheet music on the eve of the concert! As the child falls asleep, Woody and their Toy Story friends wake up and join forces to recover the scores scattered throughout various Pixar stories.”
