Abu Dhabi: First KidzMondo-Theme Park Abu Dhabi Set to Open in the United Arab Emirates
According to latest press reports the first KidzMondo edutainment park is set to open in Abu Dhabi’s The Mall in the first quarter of 2017. In the park, which is designed as a miniature city, children aged 2-14 years can experience 120 different professions and learn the handling of money for which the park has its own currency “Kidlar”. The project is a cooperation of the Kidz Holding and Aldar Properties, a real-estate company with headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The Chairman of Kidz Holding and founder of the KidzMondo concept, Ali Kazma, said: “We have always considered Abu Dhabi as one of the most important territories due to its economic and balanced growth over the years and as being one of the most innovative markets in the Arab world. It’s a market that has continued to focus and invest in the education of its children.” The total volume of investment has not been announced so far. The activities that children can experience in KidzMondo follow the purpose to support a sense of responsibility, enthusiasm for work, productivity and positive citizenship. Currently there are KidzMondo theme parks in Lebanon, Turkey and Quatar. A similar concept is followed by the Mexican edutainment-label KidZania which runs 19 parks in 16 countries of the world (cf.
