Aquarabia: Large Water Park Announced for Qiddiya City

(eap) The board of the Saudi Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) has announced that a large water park is being built next to the Six Flags Qiddiya City high-thrill theme park located not far from the capital Riyadh and currently under construction. Aquarabia will be the first water theme park in Saudi Arabia. There will be a total of 22 water slides, rides and attractions for guests of all ages, including a surf pool and four record-breaking installations such as “the world’s tallest water coaster” and “the longest mat racer”.

Future guests can also look forward to an underwater adventure ride in fully submersible cars. For water sports fans, a spacious area is being created for activities ranging from kayaking, rafting and canyoneering to cliff jumping for adrenaline-seekers. The Canadian water attraction manufacturer WhiteWater West is involved in the large-scale water park project. Like Six Flags Qiddiya, Aquarabia is expected to be completed next year to welcome its first visitors. ■
