Australia: Wet’n’Wild Sydney to Feature Many Stunning Attractions

While Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas, opened in May (cp. EAP 2/2013), has been equipped with attractions provided by Canadian manufacturer WhiteWater West, Village Roadshow’s Wet’n’Wild Sydney, currently under construction in Prospect, New South Wales, Australia, will also get attractions from this manufacturer. The new waterpark will feature two major waterslide complexes designed and built by WhiteWater: a twelve body slide complex featuring an eight-lane combo Whizzard Twist mat racer intertwined with four dueling AquaLoops as well as an eight inner-tube complex featuring four Master Blasters, a Giant AquaTube, Constrictor, Boomerango and Rattler. Further major attractions will be supplied by Ottawa-based manufacturer ProSlide. Some of these will be installed in Australia for the first time. A TornadoWave, the first triple funnel TantrumAlley and a Dark Tornado 60 (tallest one in Australia) will belong to one of the complexes ProSlide provides (see picture). Another complex from this manufacturer will be equipped with a Double BowlingAlley, a Mammoth Bubba and a DarkMammoth. Further attractions from ProSlide will include diverse attractions for children such as the world’s first KidzBowl. Prospective visitors still have to be patient: the opening of the new waterpark is scheduled for December 2013. (eap)
