Austria: New Cover Concept for the Asia Hotel & Spa Leoben

Everything under one roof now at the Asia Hotel & Spa Leoben in Styria, Austria. Since 28 January 2022, the popular wellness and recreation spa, a modern lifestyle hotel and a new fusions restaurant have belonged together. The 28,000-square metre spa and bathing area and the modern Asia Hotel (previously under the operations of the Falkensteiner Group) will from now on be operated together with a new, health-conscious culinary concept under the umbrella brand Asia Hotel & Spa Leoben. The operator group GMF from Munich, which has already been responsible for the management of the bathing complex of the Asia Spa Leoben since 2009, was commissioned with the implementation of the sustainable concept. “With this smart relaunch, the Asia Hotel & Spa Leoben will rest on three sustainable pillars in the future: our near-natural wellness and recreation pool, a hip lifestyle hotel and a new, creative fusions restaurant with lifestyle bar – a stroke of luck for health-conscious pleasure seekers and a benefit for the entire region,“ said resort manager Joachim Windhager. “Our triad should not only surprise regular guests as well as bring new travellers to Leoben, but above all become a trendy meeting place for local and regional residents for enjoyment and leisure activities.“ Straightforward, modern architecture in the middle of extensive parkland and warm Styrian hospitality characterise the atmosphere at the 4* Asia Hotel & Spa Leoben. A location that is also appreciated for meetings, incentives and conventions.

From check-in to check-out, hotel guests can enjoy unlimited use of the 2,500-square metre water world and the extensive sauna area. While the kids romp in the toddlers‘ pool or slide down the turbo and giant slides, the grown-ups relax in the cosy relaxation rooms on the gallery or do their laps in the 25-metre-long sports pool in the large swimming hall, which is architecturally modelled on a Chinese temple. The spacious sauna world is completely separate from the bathing area and has a soothing minimalist design. Bathers enjoy a refuge of peace and relaxation with tepidarium, lotus blossom pool, fireplace lounge and the “Erzberg Stollen“ sauna in reference to Leoben‘s long tradition as a mining town. According to the operators, the Asia Spa offer, which is also popular with day guests in the region, remains unchanged by the merger. (eap)
