Bahrain: New Marassi Aquarium and Underwater Zoo to Be Part of Marassi al Bahrain

The Abu Dhabi-based private real estate investment and development company Eagle Hills and Emaar Entertainment (the leisure and entertainment division of Emaar Properties from Dubai) have formed a joint venture to develop the new Marassi Aquarium and Underwater Zoo in Bahrain‘s capital of Manamah. The new marine life-dedicated experience will be part of the new Marassi Al Bahrain living and entertainment area, which is scheduled to be completed in June 2021.

Visitors will be able to explore a number of aquarium tanks as well as digital and interactive offerings in four different theme areas in the aquarium: “Rainforest“, “Ocean Trench“, “Jellyfish“ and “Reef Zone“. In order to give visitors the opportunity to come face-to-face with the different marine species, the aquarium tanks and tunnels will be strategically located in the exhibits. Additionally, the aquarium will offer diving experiences and feeding sessions. The aquarium will also feature an around six-metre (20 foot)-long digital tunnel with multiple interactive exhibits.
