Belgium: Bobbejaanland Announces New Theme Area Including Triple Launch Coaster for 2019

Belgium’s Bobbejaanland (part of the Parques Reunidos group) today announced to expand its existing park area by adding some 3,000 square meters in order to open a new theme area in 2019, which is set to be developed on a site of about two hectares, representing the highest investment of the park made until to date.

It will integrate some of the parks most popular rides including the “Typhoon” coaster (a Eurofighter from Gerstlauer) and the “Sledge Hammer” Giant Frisbee from Huss. Furthermore, the new theme area will receive a brand-new triple launch coaster from Gerstlauer, which is set to become Bobbejaanland’s new signature ride – according to the park, it will be the fastest, highest and steepest ride of its kind in the Benelux countries.
