Canada: New Mountain Coaster Now Open at Camp Fortune
In the Canadian recreational area of Camp Fortune (Chelsea, Québec), which offers a wide range of sportive leisure activities in both summer and winter, such as climbing courses, mountain bike trails and ski slopes, a new attraction has been opened.
The summer offer was recently expanded by a new experience called “Mountain Pipe Coaster“ by Sunkid, a 670-long downhill ride. Guests are able to experience speeds of up to 40 km/h in the sledge, which they can regulate independently using a hand brake. This year, the track can still be used until 11 October, as the track has to be dismantled in some place to not interfere with skiing operations. For the summer season, the track parts can then be reassembled in a few simple steps, according to the manufacturer. The start of the Mountain Coaster can be reached by one of the existing chairlifts, which are also used to transport the sledges back to the start. (eap)
