Canada: Waterplay Spray Pad Wins Design Award

In its last issue, the US-based Aquatics International Magazine announced the “Dream Design 2015” winners. The price is awarded to appealingly designed water parks and attractions. This year, Waterplay® Solutions’ spray pad at Splesj Water Park in the Netherlands was chosen as one of the top ten aquatic facility designs. In cooperation with its distribution partner Watergames & More the Canadian provider of aquatic recreation features for indoor and outdoor water parks provided Splesj Water Park with two nature-inspired spray pads which offer water fun for everyone (cf. EAP, issue 1/2015). The traditional spray pad is equipped with large dumping buckets and water cannons while the adjoining pad features gentler sprays, showering canopies of wildflowers, a meandering stream and tall shoots of misting grass. Further Dream Design 2015 winners are, amongst others, Little Otter Swim School in Huntersville, USA, Vana Nava Water Jungle in Hua Hin, Thailand and Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre in Canada. (eap)
