Construction Underway for New Vekoma Campus in Vlodrop
(eap) The Dutch roller coaster manufacturer Vekoma is planning to move into a new company campus not far from its existing main site in Vlodrop. In future, the various office and production buildings and the existing factory site in Roermond, a good ten kilometers away, are to be brought together under a more modern – and above all larger – roof. Vekoma currently has a factory, a warehouse, offices and storage yards in Vlodrop, as well as the aforementioned factory in Roermond, where full track production is carried out. There is also an office in Breda.
Construction work has now started on the future „Vekoma Campus” on the site of a former soccer field in Angsterweg. Representative and functional buildings are to be constructed in a green environment: two production halls, a spacious warehouse and a multi-storey office building with fully equipped meeting rooms and a restaurant. The aim is to permanently solve the current logistical challenges posed by the company’s growth in recent years and, among other things, to eliminate the need to rent additional storage space. The future Vekoma Campus will provide around 300 workstations. ■
