Creativity Legends in Talks: Panel Speakers 2024 Announced

(eap) “The Legends Panel”, a format founded and curated by Bob Rogers, CEO and Chairman of BRC Imagination Arts, will take place again this year during IAAPA Expo in Orlando. Rogers’ guests will be long-time Disney Imagineer Bob Weis, experienced storytelling expert Margaret Chandra Kerrison and successful author Joe Pine (“The Experience Economy” and other titles).

For 22 years, the Legends Panel has been a cornerstone for the exchange of knowledge among professionals and executives in the creative sector of the international experience and entertainment industry. This year’s panel discussion, which will take place on November 20 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the IAAPA show’s Learning Hub at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, will welcome three exceptional speakers who will embody the words of U.S. philosopher and writer Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882): “Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Each of the three panelists will share personal insights and experiences regarding successful strategies and professional lessons learned throughout their careers in an open conversation.

Bob Rogers, himself a legend in creative design whose numerous global entertainment industry awards include two Oscar nominations, will once again personally moderate this year’s panel. His guest Bob Weis has spent over four decades as a Disney Imagineer – most recently as President of Walt Disney Imagineering – and has created, designed and developed some of the most recognizable Disney projects around the world. He is the author of the book “Dream Chasing: My Four Decades of Success and Failure with Walt Disney Imagineering” and is currently working on “Twelve Disney Parks: Treasures from the Marty Sklar Archives of Walt Disney Imagineering” (due for release in June 2025).

Margaret Chandra Kerrison was born in Indonesia and raised in Singapore. She has worked on creating narratives and writing for television, film, digital media, games, brand storytelling, LBE attractions and immersive experiences for more than 16 years. Projects she has worked on include “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge”, “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance”, the National Geographic Base Camp and the NASA Kennedy Space Center visitor complex. A former BRC-er and Disney Imagineer, she now works as a speaker, creative advisor and book author.

Joe Pine, author (with James Gilmore) of “The Experience Economy”, a successful book that has been translated into more than a dozen languages, will also be a guest speaker at this year’s Legends Panel. As an internationally recognized author, speaker and management advisor for both Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial start-ups, he will also be speaking at the panel about his next book – “The Transformation Economy” – which is due to be published in the fall of 2025. ■
