Denmark: Center Parcs Enters Scandinavian Market – Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Holiday Park in Nordborg

On Denmark’s vacation island of Als in southern Jutland, the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for the first Center Parcs Europe holiday park in Scandinavia is taking place today. The new holiday park complex with over 440 holiday homes is being built in Nordborg on the Danish Baltic coast and is scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2024. Nordborg is also home to the Universe Science Park. The investors behind the development of the project are Linak Holding and the Bitten & Mads Clausen’s Foundation.

The representatives of the project partners, Bent Jensen, owner & CEO of Linak, Peter Mads Clausen, chairman of Bitten & Mads Clausen’s Foundation, Per Have, chairman of Bitten & Mads Clausen’s Foundation, Olivier Garaїalde, CEO of Center Parcs Europe, Niels Feerup, director of Nordborg Resort and Erik Lauritzen, mayor of the municipality of Sønderborg, met for today’s groundbreaking ceremony on site. The contracted manufacturers and suppliers for the attractions that will be available to guests at the park’s Aqua Mundo water park include Aquarena, Van Egdom and Murphys Waves.
