England: Pink Floyd in Retrospective at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum
On May 13th this year, London’s Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A Museum) will open a special exhibition on Pink Floyd – one of Britain’s most popular rock bands – to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of the band’s first “Arnold Layne” single. Sponsored by Iconic Entertainment Studios, “The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Moral Remains” invites visitors to the museum to participate in an audio-visual journey through the band’s history, which began in 1965 in Great Britain as one of the representatives of the new psychedelic rock movement.
But the exhibition not only focuses on their music but also shows more than 350 objects and artefacts including original set designs, handwritten lyrics, instruments and classic Pink Floyd concert footage. Furthermore, guests will experience a custom-designed laser light show. The German company Sennheiser is responsible for the sonic experience of the exhibition, which can be seen for 20 weeks at V&A Museum London. (eap)
