Fly In Your Own Car On a Rollercoaster, Ferris Wheel or Cable Car: German Entrepreneur Presents New „Carmusement“-Concept
If we were not in September, it would appear that today is 1 April. After all, the new idea of Rollercoasterrestaurant® inventor Michael Mack sounds like an April fool’s trick. After the busy entrepreneur had revolutionized the market a few years ago with his innovative gastronomy concept of “eating on the rollercoaster track“ (cp. EAP 4/16), Mack now wants to solve traffic problems and further offer an innovative concept for theme parks.
According to his plans for the theme park concept, “flight passengers“ will in the future be able to drive their own car on various transportation platforms, which are situated on specifically designed ferris wheels (“CarmusementWheel“), other types of carousels (“CarmusementCarousel“) and rollercoasters (“CarmusementRollerCoaster“). Under the name of “CableFlights“, the entrepreneur further wants to introduce a cable car car“ solution, where passengers are transported in their cars into and out of city centers. The developers see this kind of transportation system suitable for cities like Stuttgart, where guests could be transported from Messe Stuttgart into the city center. But what about CO2 emissions in the waiting lines for loading? And how exactly would this reduce CO2 emissions in the city centers? These are questions that may arise …
During the “flight“, cars may be air-conditioned and electric cars may be recharged. Moreover, guests may be able to order food and beverages via an app at a “FlyInRestaurant“ on the way. Sounds like a SciFi movie? It appears that the list of further possible attractions is long. It also includes a „CarmusementRollerCoaster“, in which passengers “fly“ through loopings while sitting in their own cars. But still too many safety concerns, says Mack. Just in case, he has already developed a specific safety belt for this kind of attraction, because – “never say never“. (eap)
