France: Futuroscope Launches New Live Spectacle
Last Saturday Futuroscope launched its newest live spectacle, “Les Mystères du Kube”, which aims to diversify the range of attractions of the theme park. The stunning show – which was produced by the park itself under the direction of Sophie Poirier from Mu-Events – combines state-of-the-art image mapping technology and visual effects with artistic performances of actors, dancers and acrobats. Up to 570 spectators can witness this extraordinary, 25-minute show in which a newly recruited team of twelve international artists fills an extraordinary stage with life. The artists fly over the stage and the heads of the audience, they climb on screens, appear and disappear in the scenography and make use of trampolines embedded into the stage. During the show, more than 600 square meters of digital imagery is projected onto the stage.
Moreover, February saw the opening of Futuroscope’s new indoor adventure “Arena Fun Xperiences”, which aims to challenge visitors athletically and mentally. Read more about this new attraction in our upcoming magazine issue, EAP 3/2015, at the beginning of May. (eap)
