GNTB Top 100 Ranking 2023 – Leisure Attractions Voted Most Popular Destinations

Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg (eap) Leisure activities with a high experience factor for the whole family, sightseeing attractions and lively metropolises are particularly popular with participants in the German National Tourist Board’s (GNTB) Top 100 Destinations in Germany voting. Between September 2022 and June 2023, around 25,000 users from over 20 countries (only the votes of foreign guests in Germany are counted) took the opportunity to name the tourist destinations they consider to be particularly recommendable on the website www.germany.travel.

Phantasialand © Frank Reinhold Southern Germany’s Europa-Park received the most nominations this year. Last year’s winner, Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg, came in second, directly followed by Phantasialand. This year’s ranking results continue with tourist destinations and sights such as Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the Nürburgring and Neuschwanstein Castle. Therme Erding is also high up on the 10th place. According to the poll, the Top 100 travel destinations in Germany also include Ravensburger Spieleland, Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Rövershagen, Erlebnispark Tripsdrill, Bayern-Park, LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort and the German Spy Museum in Berlin.

At the same time, our partners in German tourism receive confirmation of their successful international marketing. The lively participation in the survey is also a vote for the appeal of the travel destionation Germany as a brand in international competition,” said Petra Hedorfer, Chair of the GNTB’s Executive Board.
