Germany: Bazil El Atassi Named New CEO of BELANTIS

Bazil El Atassi (44) has been named new CEO of Germany’s BELANTIS amusement park, which was recently taken over by Spanish Parques Reunidos operating group (cf. EAP, 2/18). El Atassi, who succeeds former CEO Erwin Linnenbach, previously held the roles as the park’s COO, authorized officer and member of the management team (cf. EAP, 2/15). Furthermore, El Atassi has been working as division manager at the EmiR Entertainment event agency since 2008 – he looks back on more than 15 years of experience in the field of event management.

“We look forward to the cooperation with Bazil El Atassi in his new position as CEO. His broad professional expertise will help us to positively shape the park’s future,” commented Thorsten Backhaus, CEO of Movie Park Germany, which also belongs to the Parques Reunidos Group. Backhaus is supporting El Atassi with the strategical planning and the park’s integration into the group’s corporate structures.
