Germany: Bremen Town Musicians Returned to Magic Park Verden
Since the past weekend, Magic Park Verden (Lower Saxony) has been offering its visitors a new magical experience in its “Märchenwald“ (Eng.: Fairytale Forest) area, which has been a central part of the park for 50 years now. After many years of absence, the “Bremen Town Musicians“ (Brothers Grimm, 1819) have now returned to the Fairytale Forest, after having been destroyed by a storm a few years ago.
The new cabin presents visitors with a shadow play lasting about six minutes at the push of a button. In addition, while wandering around the cabin, visitors can find a scenery with figures of donkey, dog, cat and rooster chasing away a group of robbers. The company Hofmann Figuren from Bad Rodach was responsible for the show technology and the figures. As an Easter egg (hidden detail), the faces of the robbers were modelled after the faces of long-time park employees: “[...] for example, our chef Wolfgang is also standing at the stove in the robbers‘ cabin,“ says the park management.
