Germany: Movie Park Germany Announces Novelties for 2020 – Comprehensive Investments in Infrastructure & Gastronomic Offers
Movie Park Germany, which will start into its new season on March 27th, will launch a range of novelties this year: The former “Team Umizoomi – Number Tumbler” attraction will be integrated in the “PAW Patrol” kids area and operate in a fresh design under its new name “Skye’s High Flyer”. Also, the “MPXpress” suspended looping coaster from Vekoma will receive a make-over by adding the “Lucky Luke” IP with a corresponding new design. The remake of the ride will be finished by summer this year. In addition, an interactive laser walkthrough will be installed below the stand of “Studio 7”. In the walkthrough, guests will take on the role of ghost hunters in order to free the mysterious city of St. Elmo from dark forces.
In the course of its long-term quality-focused strategy, Movie Park Germany makes larger investments in its infrastructure, including the renovation of the toilet facilities, the addition of sun shading in some attractions’ queuing areas and the renewal of some façade paintings. The F&B offer will be expanded by a new “Dunkin’ Donuts” shop (amongst others). The park’s shop portfolio will increase by a newly designed US Army store, relating to the “Area 51 – Top Secret” water ride (cf. EAP 5/2019). Last but not least, the retracking of the “The Bandit” wooden coaster will move forward with the replacement of another 150 meter large track section, so that about three quarters of the total track will be renewed by the end of this year.
