Germany: Richter Spielgeräte Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Today, Germany’s Richter Spielgeräte GmbH celebrates its 50th anniversary together with around 600 invited guests – including many companions from the company’s initial period – to look back on the huge success of the past years. Since 1967, Richter Spielgeräte has manufactured numerous play elements, such as climbing elements, cottages and pyramids. Nowadays, the company’s playground structures can be found around the globe: recently, the “Port of Melbourne” was opened in Australia, reflecting on the city’s history and including real sailor equipment. The company’s current portfolio counts more than 800 products, which are being manufactured by some hundred employees. The family-owned business is now under the leadership of Julian Richter junior (in the third generation) – the team looks forward to realizing new out-standing projects in the future. (eap)
