Germany: Rulantica Water World Receives Leading Edge Award
As one of the largest European water park projects completed in the past months, the Rulantica water world, which is part of the Europa-Park Resort, was honored with a “Leading Edge Award” by the World Waterpark Association during this year’s “WWA40 Virtual Show”. The award also goes to the following manufacturers and suppliers for their work on Rulantica: API Water Fun GmbH (DE), Aquarena GmbH (DE), aquila wasseraufbereitungstechnik GmbH (DE), MackNeXT/Mack Solutions (DE), Murphys Waves (UK), PGAV Destinations (USA) and ProSlide Technology (CAN).
The 32,600 square meter large indoor water park celebrated its opening on 28th November 2019. Since then guests have been able – interrupted by the closing time due to the Corona pandemic – to experience a total of 17 water slides and further themed attractions (cf. our cover story in EAP 1/2020). Last week saw the opening of the separate “Hyggedal” sauna and relax zone at Rulantica (cf. EAP News of 16 Oct 2020). And starting next summer, a completely new slide complex will expand the existing attractions line-up in the outdoor area of the Nordic themed water world. (eap)
