Germany: Thermenwelt Bad Vilbel – Building Permission Submitted for New Thermal Bathing Complex
In the city of Bad Vilbel located in Germany’s Hessian federal state, the Thermengruppe Josef Wund plans to develop the “Thermenwelt Bad Vilbel“, a new indoor thermal bathing complex which will become Germany’s first pool complex with a “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) platinum“ certification. LEED is a ranking system which evaluates how environmentally-, ressource-friendly and sustainable the construction and operation of a building is. The Wund group has recently submitted the building permission and hopes for a quick construction start.
This new thermal facility will provide visitors with a health and wellness area, a sports swimming pool, a large sauna area as well as a family pool featuring a slide complex. “This is a silver lining during the times of the pandemic, a project which will be recognized nationally and throughout Europe across our federal state‘s borders – a project for Germany! Nature, health and culture will fuse on the highest technical level,“ explains Edelfried Balle, General Manager of Wund Holding. (eap)
