To exchange views on current and future industry trends, a delegation from Ocean Park Hong Kong recently visited Europa-Park in Germany. Chairman Leo Kung, CEO Matthias Li and Celine Cheung (Executive Director, Design & Planning) met with Europa-Park Owner Roland Mack and Christian von Elverfeldt, CEO of Mack Rides. The guests from Asia were especially interested in the “Coastiality” Virtual Reality technology, created by MackMedia. The belonging hardware system was developed by Germany’s VR Coaster company, headquartered in Kaiserslautern. Both parks agreed on a future cooperation in the field of Virtual Reality.
Also, the representatives from Ocean Park Hong Kong took the opportunity to elaborate innovative concepts and attractions with the manufacturing company Mack Rides. Just as Europa-Park, Ocean Park is currently expanding its offer with the construction of a water park. Water World is the name of the new venue, with an investment volume of approx. 342 million Euros (2.9 billion Hong Kong Dollar), which is currently under development at Tai Shue Wan Bay (cf.
