Germany/USA: New Mystical Hex Attraction Offers Interactive “Buffalo Hunt“ to Riders
For the “Buffalo Hunt“ Wild West visitor experience near Rapid City (South Dakota, USA), which is operated by the Fort Hays & Mount Rushmore Tours local tourism organisation, the German manufacturer Wiegand supplied a “Mystical Hex“ Suspended Coaster – the second installation of this attraction type in the USA.
The suspended family coaster, which was opened in October, lets riders “fly“ over a deep valley through numerous curvy elements. Until next spring, the ride will additionally be equipped with around 30 interactive targets and buffalo figures. During the swinging coaster ride – the seats move to the left and right but also forwards and backwards – visitors will be able to “shoot“ at the targets with interactive shooters.
The first installation of this ride type in the USA is located at the Rowdy Bear Mountain Adventure Park located in Pigeon Forge – here, visitors will soon be able to enjoy the first CoasterKart attraction from the German manufacturer (cf. EAP 5/2020). (eap)
