Heilbronn: Science Center “Experimenta” Opened

In mid-November the biggest science center of South Germany, the “Experimenta”, was opened in Heilbronn. 150 exhibits invite guests to wonder and to have a try themselves on an area of 7,500 square metres. The construction took 18 months until completion. The operator, Dieter Schwarz (Lidl, Kaufland), who has been an honorary citizen of his home town Heilbronn since 2007, supported the project financially with the help of a foundation. The investment volume runs at 30 million euros (of initially provided 12 million euros) and 100,000 visitors are expected per year. (eap)
